Classical Pilates follows the original method developed by Joseph Pilates.
Rather than constantly changing workouts, Classical Pilates follows a structured progression using specialised apparatus including the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Spine Corrector and other traditional equipment.
Each exercise has a purpose, building strength, flexibility, balance and body awareness over time.
Many of our clients come to us because they experience recurring back pain, poor posture or stiffness.
While Pilates is not a medical treatment, strengthening your core, improving alignment and developing better movement patterns can often help reduce discomfort and improve everyday function.
If you have a diagnosed medical condition, we recommend speaking with your healthcare professional before beginning exercise
Yes.
Poor posture often develops through repetitive daily habits rather than weakness alone.
Classical Pilates focuses on alignment, spinal mobility and balanced muscular development, helping you move more efficiently both inside and outside the studio.
Absolutely. In fact, many of our clients begin with no previous Pilates experience.
Private sessions are the ideal starting point, allowing us to introduce the Pilates method at a pace that suits your body, your goals and any existing injuries or movement limitations. We focus on building strong foundations so you feel confident before progressing further.
We recommend beginning with a private session.
This allows your instructor to assess your posture, movement patterns and goals, and create a personalised programme tailored to you.
Many clients choose to continue with private sessions, while others progress to our small group classes once they feel confident with the equipment and exercises.
Not at all.
Our instructors will guide you through every exercise, explaining how the equipment works and ensuring you feel safe and supported throughout your session.
No previous experience is required.
This depends on your goals.
For general wellbeing, one session per week provides an excellent foundation.
If you're working towards improving posture, building strength or developing specific movement patterns, two to three sessions per week often delivers faster progress.
Your instructor will recommend a programme that suits your lifestyle and objectives.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.
Grip socks are not mandatory. Avoid loose clothing or large zips & buttons which might get caught in the equipment or damage it.
Private sessions last 50 minutes.
This gives enough time for personalised instruction, progression and feedback while respecting your schedule
